Located approximately 45 miles from Les Cayes, and ten minutes away from Port-à-Piment, Chardonnière City is a very pleasant refuge. The city was named by buccaneers or freebooters. The Catholic Parish was built in 1897 and is dedicated to Sainte-Anne. Chardonnière is also the largest producer of grapes in Haiti. History has it that during the colonial era, grapes from here made their way to the grand tables of French Kings. Today, Chardonnésiens use these grapes to express their boundless generosity and hospitality. Feel very much flattered if you happen to receive some.
Located in Haiti’s South department, Tuyac is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country.
